Corporate Operations and Development
We pioneered the use of tissue culture seedling technology in flower seedling production, achieving rapid mass propagation of virus-free seedlings. This enabled us to launch numerous hit products and establish our leadership in this field. Among these, our perennial gypsophila became Japan's first tissue-cultured seedling successfully produced and sold by our company in 1975. What was once a minor cut flower has now become indispensable for bouquets and floral arrangements. Beyond cut flowers like carnations, limonium, and delphinium, we also utilize tissue culture technology to produce and sell vegetables such as strawberries and wasabi. Limonium and delphinium are exported in large quantities overseas. Recently, we succeeded in tissue culture production of Christmas roses, achieving stable varietal maintenance and mass propagation—previously difficult tasks. Furthermore, we pioneered the industry by developing our own seedling production system based on plug seedlings (cell-formed seedlings), always aiming to lead the field. In response to growing consumer demand in recent years, we have also conducted research and development on potted plants and bedding plants, striving to meet the diversifying needs of consumers. Simultaneously, we sell our original varieties not only domestically but also overseas, while also developing varieties tailored to the needs of international markets. We aim to become the only seed company in the horticultural industry that is truly unique as a development-oriented enterprise.
